Qualifications

General (All Positions)

  • Be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of working in geographically remote Canadian locations
  • Be able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of aviation Regulations and Standards necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position
  • Fluent / proficient in English and able to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Possess a valid Canadian Passport
  • Be legally able to enter the United States
  • Must provide clear - Criminal Records, Child Abuse Registry and Vulnerable Sectors checks
  • Be fully vaccinated with a Canadian approved COVID-19 vaccination

C-560 & PC-24 Captain

  • ATPL
  • 2500 hours total time
  • 500 hours pilot-in command on multi-turbine
  • 100 hours time on type or equivalent

BE20 Captain

  • ATPL
  • 2000 hours total time
  • 500 hours multi pilot-in-command (MPIC)

BE20 Developmental BE20 Captain (MPIC)

  • ATPL or exams written
  • 1500 hours total time
  • 500 hours pilot-in-command of which 200 hours must be MPIC

PC-12 Captain (SPIC)

  • ATPL or exams written
  • 2000 hours total time
  • 500 hours pilot-in command on turbo-prop or turbo-jet aircraft
  • 100 hours on type
  • 2 years experience operating in Instrument conditions

Developmental PC-12 Captain (SPIC)

  • ATPL
  • 1500 hours total time
  • 500 hours pilot-in command of which must be 100 hours multi pilot-in-command

C-560/PC-24/PC-12 First Officers

  • Valid Commercial Pilot License:
    — PC-12: CPL
    — C-560 & PC-24: ATPL or IATRA
  • 500 hours total time

Salary Ranges

Salary range is total time hours based with incremental ranging from:

Captains

  • C-560 / PC-24: $100,000 to $145,000 per annum
  • BE20: $85,000 to $135,000 per annum
  • PC-12: $95,000 to $137,500 per annum
  • Overtime for extra days: day rate based on annual salary
  • Line indoc pay: $75 per day

First Officers

  • C-560 / PC-24: $60,000 to $78,000 per annum
  • BE 20: $50,000 to $68,000 per annum
  • PC-12: $54,000 to $72,000 per annum
  • Overtime for extra days: day rate based on annual salary

Additional Benefits

  • Tax free per diem $10,980 per annum
  • Vacation pay @ 4-8% subject to years of service
  • Pension plan @ 3-5%
  • Supplied Uniform
  • Dental, Prescription Drugs, Vision, Short-Term Disability, and Life Insurance commence on date of hire
  • Option to participate in Exchange Income Corporation’s Employee Share Purchase Plan

Notes

  • Preference may be given to internal candidates and those that hold a current applicable aircraft endorsement
  • An 18-month training loan agreement is applicable

Employee Share Purchase Plan

The Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) is a significant benefit offered to all employees by our parent company, Exchange Income Corporation (EIC).

Employees are eligible for the ESPP once they have worked for Keewatin Air for at least six months, for at least 20 hours per week, continuously.

EIC offers Keewatin Air employees a "buy three, get one free" stock option, where employees are given one free share of EIC stock for every three EIC shares they purchase, up to a maximum of 5% of the employee’s salary.
